Nah, it was a special thing from Pontiac. Not a lot of HP, but it had a shit ton of torque out of a 4.9 liter v8. Only downside...it was only offered as a 3 speed automatic

Looks like I'm not gonna get the ZE swap. I got an estimate from my mechanic and he said that we're lookin at about 17-19 hrs of work. so if you factor in that including the $900 for the engine its gonna be round 2500 just to swap an engine, plus other things need to be (the cars have been there for at least 1 year).

However....

my mechanic has an '87 300ZX all that it needs is a new front facial and new fender, if i get the parts, i can get it for 1500. Its and manual, and runs freakin great. I'm gonna see if i can get those parts at a decent price. I like this style of the Z better than the 90s version too.
