I'll be there with 4 or 5 other guys. If anyone is interested in driving on track this would be a great opportunity to do so. Unfortunately S2000's need a roll bar to get on track at VIR.

Cost is $435 for ~4 hours of track time over two days.

Shit, so $435 for me plus another $600 for a roll bar. Not to mention I had crap-tastic H rated tires on right now. I couldn't go anyway, that is the weekend before we close on our house so we will be packing up our crap. Looks like a helluva good time. Stephen if you drive the course, get some video.

i'm signed up, as is tyler. my tires were laughably bad at the event i did last month (kuhmo asx that were on the car when i bought it) i don't have any way to safely video, not that my driving will be worth watching anyway. i should be able to get some pictures though.

if anyone is bored that weekend you should make the trek and ask to ride along with an instructor or two.

That's cool. Like I said, I have a friend trying to get me to start autoX with the S and I would love to do an HPDE. Right now I am just too busy to do anything, and I need some legit tires and wheels.

Auto X in the S is pretty bad ass, i'm sure it doesn't compare to the track but it's a lot of fun.

Yea I need to do it once before I sell mine. I think if the S is lucky, it has another year with me.

also, you don't need a roll bar for events at Carolina Motor Sports park in SC.

Might be worth doing an event there at some point before selling the car.

Yea I am going to try to do something either this summer or the fall, funds permitting. I have no excuse not to do an autox event, except my shitty tires.

I am already considering what I should switch to next year about this time or the late summer. I have a good list going including:

M1 (pricing? not if this bitch is $50,000, which is what the M3 new is)
2008/2009 S2000 CR

get the EVOX, it will make a great family car in the future . And that roll cage rule sucks. Auto X would be fun, but driving on an actual course would be a cool experience. I can't remember if it was masotti or chris n in the video of them autox'ing their s2k one of them hits a cone and drags it along for a ride i think haha.

as far as your next car, it really depends on your current/future needs.

also the event was nuts, a ton of track to learn. 30+ turns is no joke.

and third of all, that looks awesome. I cannot wait for my next sport(y) car so I can get out and do more events.
