yea, that is really general about Honda's, and untrue. But do you seriously believe he doesn't know where his own vehicles power band is?

lol I hope you're not gettin offended, because any car can spin tires if they like. heck, my cousin in brazil has a 1.0 fiat, that will spin tires.

oh, and Chris, I wish I had vtec, I really do. smile.gif

ok... the word "spin" is being used too liberally. what i was originally talking about is lighting the tires up not just chirping.

no one is getting offended

yea, but the car bogs man. if u launch at 2k rpms, and let out at a medium speed, then the tach goes down to like 1k rpms, or less. i have heard from a couple ppl that this generation GT is pretty finicky. like it was said earlier, i just need some preactice and an almost empty track!! not a 30 min wait in line for just one run.

i think you would be launching at a little less than 3000 rpms and still feathering the clutch and gas pedals.

I launch my car under 2,000 RPM. I have no problem getting up and going.

You're also driving on drag radials. You're not gonna have much of a problem going as long as the road is dry. And to fordmuscle, go to the strip on sundays. It's open test and tune, everyone is out there to run, and you're not going to wait in line half an hour to get a run before waiting for 80 bikes to take 5 minutes to stage.

From what I've read, not too many people launch their Z28 over 2,000 RPM. So it has nothing to do with the tires.

Chris is right. You're gonna want to launch higher and work the clutch and gas a bit to get that sweet spot of a hard launch without wheelspin. It'll be easier since you're running on drag radials. Minimize the spinning and shit.
